Jillian Insley recently graduated with honours from the Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant (OTA & PTA) program at Durham College. She has completed 600 hours of clinical fieldwork experience at private clinics working with the pediatric and neuro population. She knew that she wanted to go into a career in the medical field and physical therapy was the career path that blended aspects of her life that she is passionate about: physical activity and helping people.
Being part of a diverse interdisciplinary team has helped shape Jill into a better clinician, as she loves to learn from other’s experience and gain insight on how she can best help patients during their rehab. She is very excited to continue her path as a PTA, and she is looking forward to continuing to contribute to and advocate for the OTA & PTA profession in the future.
During her spare time she loves to play soccer 2x a week, avid gym goer, finding new hiking trails with her dog named Shmenz, volunteering whenever she can (Para sport games, special Olympics)
